Below is information on some of the languages that I either know or know something about and which have meant something to me personally.

• Latin
  Spoken in Italy and the western part of the Roman Empire in Antiquity; also used as a second language ever since.
  


• Greek
  Spoken in Greece since the second millennium B.C.
  


• During the time that I have maintained my homepage, my current interest has kept switching from one language to another. At the moment, the language that fascinates me most, and which I am making an effort to learn (something of), is Mandarin Chinese
  


• Esperanto
  Language created by L. Zamenhof in the 1880's.
